Survey Description

During the summer of 1989, stream sediment and water samples were collected in an area southeast of Kirkland Lake, north central Ontario in a truck-supported survey.  Samples were collected at an average density of one sample per 10 km 2 throughout the 2 000 km 2 survey area.  Sample site duplicate samples were routinely collected in each analytical block of twenty samples.  The data are published in Geological Survey of Canada Open File 2178.

This survey was carried out using National Geochemical Reconnaissance (NGR) protocols.
