Survey Description
In July and August, 1994, a total of 148 till and 3 esker samples were collected in a helicopter-supported survey on the West Hunter property in the Kikerk Lake region, located approximately 500 km north of Yellowknife.
During phase 1, the samples were collected along several east-west lines spaced approximately 8 km apart. Samples were collected at 300 m intervals along the lines. This density was used to determine potential kimberlite clusters and to define individual kimberlite trains running across the property. A line of samples was also collected along western boundary of the property at 1 km intervals as well as in the northeast portion of the claim block to cover the dog-leg in the boundary.
