Survey Description
A total of 131 till samples (29 in 2002 and 102 in 2003) were collected on the Jewel property which is located approximately 300 km northwest of the Lac de Gras kimberlite field. The work was conducted by Stornoway Ventures Ltd. on behalf of Navigator Exploration Corp. and Strongbow Exploration Inc. In 2002, the primary focus was to collect samples at 500 m spacing along lines perpendicular to predominant ice-flow. In 2003, the focus was to cover the entire region, in addition to providing some in-fill samples as well as quality control samples from the 2002 season.
The samples were sent to Thunder Bay, ON for processing.
