A detailed panning exploration program was carried out in the Parker Lake area which is approximately 130 km northwest of Rankin Inlet, Nunavut. In June to August 1996, 463 panning samples of 20 litres each, collected from moraines, eskers, other glacial fluvial sediments, lake sediments and alluvium, were taken at sampling sites 1-2 km apart. Approximately 200 rock samples from minette dikes were also collected.
The samples have been SEM checked and the data are available.
