Till sampling survey, Meliadine Lake area, Kivalliq region, Nunavut, NTS 55N/2, WMC International Ltd, 1996.

In August 1996, a helicopter assisted till sampling survey was carried out by WMC International Limited, in the Meliadine Lake area, 40 km northwest of Rankin Inlet. A total of 68 samples were collected and sent for heavy mineral analysis, <63 micron analysis, gold grain and clast counts.
The samples were collected from C horizon till and sent to Overburden Drilling Management in Nepean, ON. Heavy mineral concentrates were sent to ACTIVATION Laboratories Ltd. of Ancaster, ON, and a <63 micron fraction split from the bulk sample was sent to Bondar-Clegg in Ottawa, ON.

Covers part of NTS 55N/2, western claims, in eastern Nunavut. It is located approximately 40 km northwest of Rankin Inlet.
