The Parker Lake project area is located approximately 120 km northwest of Rankin Inlet and 110 km southeast of the community of Baker Lake. From June to August, 1996, 462 samples of till and other surficial materials (esker sediments, lake sediments and other glacial fluvial sediments), were collected from a 700 km2 area by KMD Exploration Services of Vancouver, BC.

The geographic extent of the survey is defined by the following polygons:
Covers parts of NTS 55N/5, 12 in the Parker Lake area, eastern Nunavut. It is located approximately 100 km northwest of the community of Rankin Inlet.
