Survey Description

During the summer of 1982, airborne gamma-ray spectrometric anomalies were investigated in southern Nunavut and northwestern Manitoba, west of Nueltin Lake.  Outcrop is scarce in the area so samples of calc-silicate and other float were collected at three locations.  Further field work was conducted in 1985 at location two.  The glacial drift in the area appears to be not far removed from its bedrock source.  A summary of the work can be found in Geological Survey of Canada Current Research, Part A, Paper 86-1A.
