Survey Description


In July 1975, one day of lake water sampling was carried out in the Takijuq Lake area (formerly Takiyauk Lake), Nunavut, as part of follow-up work to Operation Bear-Slave.  Approximately 25 samples were collected.  The data have never been published.

The geographic extent of the survey is defined by the following polygons:

  • Covers part of NTS 86I/2 (untitled) in the Takijuq Lake area, western Nunavut.  The centre of the study area is located just southeast of Takijuq Lake and approximately 77 km east of the Nunavut-Northwest Territories border.
