Survey Description

In the summer of 2010, geologists from the GSC, AREVA and Queen’s University collected till samples around the Kiggavik uranium deposit, Nunavut.  A total of 71 till samples were collected up-ice, overlying and down-ice of the deposit by foot and helicopter traverses.  Samples were collected from hand-dug pits (15-45 cm deep) in active and inactive frost boils.

The data are published in Geological Survey of Canada Open File 7550.
