Survey Description

During the summer of 2010, stream sediment (including those for heavy minerals) and water samples were collected at 63 sites in the northwestern regions of Victoria Island, Northwest Territories. The data are published in Geological Survey of Canada Open File 7006.

During the summer of 2011, stream sediment (including those for heavy minerals) and water samples were collected at 58 sites in the same area.  Data for samples collected in 2010 and 2011 are published in GSC Open File 7198, which supersedes Open File 7006.

This survey was carried out using National Geochemical Reconnaissance (NGR) protocols.
