Survey Description


During the summer of 1984, heavy mineral preconcentrates were extracted from stream sediments by running stream gravels through a portable suction dredge in the Estrie area, Quebec.  A total of 312 sites were sampled over an area of approximately 4500 km 2. The data are published in Geological Survey of Canada Open File 1145.

  • Covers NTS 21E/3, 4, 5, 6, 12 in the Estrie region, southern Quebec.  It is bounded to the south and southeast by Vermont and New Hampshire, U.S.A.
