Survey Description


During the summer of 1988, helicopter and truck-supported stream sediment and water sampling was carried out in south central Yukon.  Samples were collected at an average density of one sample per 13 km 2 throughout the 11,870 km 2 survey area.  Sample site duplicate samples were routinely collected in each analytical block of twenty samples.  The data are published in Geological Survey of Canada Open File 1960.

This survey was carried out using National Geochemical Reconnaissance (NGR) protocols.

The geographic extent of the survey is defined by the following polygons:

  • Covers all of NTS 105E in south-central Yukon.  It is bounded to the south by latitude 61°, to the north by latitude 62°, to the west by longitude 136° and to the east by longitude 134°.
