Survey Description

During the summer of 1977, helicopter-supported sample collecting was carried out in the Thunder Bay area, Ontario.  Lake sediment and water samples were collected at an average density of one sample per 13 km 2.  Sample site and grid cell duplicate samples were routinely collected in each analytical block of twenty samples.  The data are published in Geological Survey of Canada Open File 506.

The samples were reanalysed by INAA and published aloing with the original data in GSC Open File 2360.

This survey was carried out using National Geochemical Reconnaissance (NGR) protocols.
