Survey Description
In 1991, 283 till samples and 18 gravel samples were collected in the Manitouwadge area, northern Ontario. The data are published in GSC Open File 2616. Some of these samples were analysed for mercury in 1999 and published in GSC Open File 3790.
Data Description:
Paper report and diskette (ASCII files).
Quantities Analysed:
<0.002 mm and <0.063 mm fractions by ICP after HCl-HNO 3 digestion for 28 elements and by fire assay/DCP after aqua regia for Pd, Pt, and Au (OF 2626). <0.002 mm fraction of till and <0.063 mm fraction of stream sediments by CV-AAS for Hg (OF 3790).
Geochem Maps Available:
Proportional symbol maps showing the dispersal of most elements (OF 2616). Proportional symbol map shows dispersal of Hg in till and stream sediments (OF 3790).
Other Analyses:
Pebble lithologies (5-16.0 mm).
