Survey Description

Between 1992 and 1994, approximately 500 till samples were collected in the Manson River and Fort Fraser map areas, central British Columbia.  The data are published in GSC Open File 3194.  The data can also be found as part of a compilation in GSC Open File 2270.

Data Description:

Report contains digital files on diskette of all geochemical analyses, pebble, heavy mineral, and gold grain counts produced for entire survey as a series of ASCII files.  Includes data from Plouffe and Ballantyne (1993), GSC OF 2593.

Quantities Analysed:

<0.063 mm and <0.002 mm fractions by ICP-AES for 22 elements after nitric-aqua regia digestion; <0.002 mm fraction by CV-AAS for Hg; by INAA for 31 elements.

Geochem Maps Available:

Proportional symbol maps showing the dispersal of elements in the <0.002 mm and <0.063 mm fractions.

Other Analyses:

Pebble lithologies (4-8 mm), heavy mineral concentrate for gold grain counts and point counts (0.063-0.250 mm).
