During the summer of 1980, a stream sediment sampling survey was conducted in the Kazabazua area, Quebec. The area covers 1900 km2. A total of 3363 samples were collected at an average density of 1 sample per 0.6 km2. Sampling was carried out along creeks and spaced at 500 m intervals.
Samples were analyzed for:
|Ag, Al, B, Ba, Be, Ca, Cd, Ce, Co, Cr, Cu, Eu, Fe, K, La, Li, Mg, Mn, Mo, Na, Ni, P, Pb, Sc, Sm, Sr, Th, Ti, V, Y, Zn||
|As, Hg||atomic absorption (AAS)|
|Loss on ignition (LOI)|
The data are published in Open File DV 83-10, Department of Energy and Resources, 1985. In 1988, samples were reanalyzed for As, Au, Br, Cs, Sb, Se, Tm and W (neutron activation) and results are published in Open File DP 88-14.
