Survey Description


During the summer of 1978, a soil sampling survey was conducted in the Aiguebelle township, Abitibi.  The area covers 128 km 2.  A total of 52 samples taken from horizon O h, H or A h, were collected at an average density of 1 sample per 2.5 km 2.  Samples were analyzed for:

This survey is part of a compilation of geochemical surveys published in DV 87-22.

The geographic extent of the survey is defined by the following polygons:

  • Covers part of NTS 32D/7 (Clericy).  The Aiguebelle township is situated in the Abitibi region.  It is located 35 km northeast of Rouyn.  It is bounded by latitudes 48°30' and 48°34' and longitudes 78°39' and 78°52'.
