Survey Description

Between 1978 and 1980, a glaciofluvial sediment (esker) sampling survey was conducted in the Abitibi region, Quebec.  The area covers 63000 km2.  A total of 3000 samples were collected from horizons B and C, at an average density of 1 sample per 70 km2 Samples were analysed for Cu, Pb, Zn, Ni, Co (<177 microns fraction, atomic absorption).

The data are published in Open File MB-86-42, Department of Energy and Resources, 1986.  This survey is also part of a compilation DPV-608, published in 1979.
