Survey Description
In 1977, a soil sampling survey was conducted in the Abitibi-Temiscaming area, Quebec. Eleven sites were in the Abitibi area, the last 3 sites were in the Temiscaming area. A total of 320 samples (from 14 sites) and 430 samples from regional roads were collected from Horizon A 1. The average density was 1 sample per 1.6 km<sup/>and the samples were analysed for:

Covers NTS 32C/3 (Lac Gueguen), /4 (Val-d'Or), /5 (Barraute), /6 (Senneterre), /11 (Rochebaucourt), /12 (Landrienne), /13 (Rivière Obalski), /14 (Despinassy), 32D (Rouyn-Noranda), 32E/1 (Mont Douaumont), /2 (Mont Plamondon), /3 (Villebois), /4 (Abbotsford Lake), /5 (Payntouk Lake), /6 (Ruisseau Orfroy), /7 (Lac Mistaouac), /8 (Ruisseau Kistabiche) and 32F/3 (Passage du Granite), /4 (Rivière Coigny), /5 (Rivière des Indiens), /6 (Ile Canica). The region includes 11 zones (Val-Saint-Gilles, Saint-Dominique, Gallichan, Amos, La Morandière, Barraute, Lac Parent, Saint-Benoît, Beaudry, Malartic et Lac de Montigny) and 6 road paths, in the Abitibi area. It is bounded by latitudes 48° and 49°15' and longitudes 77° and 79°31'.

Covers NTS 31M/3 (Fabre), /4 (Temagami), /5 (Cobalt), /6 (Ville-Marie) and 11 (Angliers), /12 (New Liskeard), /13 (Englehart). The region includes 3 zones (Guérin, Saint-Eugène-de-Guigues and Ville-Marie), in the Témiscaming area. It is bounded by latitudes 47°10' and 47°50' and longitudes 79° and 79°34'.
