In 1969, a stream sediment sampling survey was conducted in the Lac des Martres area, Quebec. The area covers 500 km2. A total of 251 samples were collected at an average density of 1 sample per 2.0 km2 and analysed for Cu, Pb, Zn, Mo, Ni, Co, U, W, Mn, Sn, Sb, Ag, Au.
The data are published in preliminary report RP-601, Department of Natural Resources, Quebec, 1971.

The geographic extent of the survey is defined by the following polygons:
Covers NTS 21M/15 (east) (Lac des Martres). The Lac des Martres area is located between latitudes 47o 45' and 48o and longitudes 70o30' and 70o45'. This area is in Charlevoix county. Route 56, between Baie-Saint-Paul and Chicoutimi, crosses the southwest corner of the map area.
