Survey Description


In 1966, a stream sediment sampling survey was conducted in the southeast quarter of Nelligan township, Quebec.  The area covers 70 km 2.  A total of 119 samples were collected at an average density of 1 sample per 0.6 km 2 and analysed for Cu, Mo, Pb, Zn, Ni and U.

The data are published in preliminary report RP-568, Department of Natural Resources, Quebec, 1967.

The geographic extent of the survey is defined by the following polygons:

  • Covers parts of 32F/8 (Lac Pusticamica) and 9 (Desmaraisville).  The southeast quarter of Nelligan township straddles the highway going from Senneterre to Chibougamau between miles 105 and 112.  The southeast corner is at 49°26’N latitude and 76°13'W longitude.
