In 1966, a stream sediment sampling survey was conducted in the south-half of Perron township, Quebec. The area covers 130 km2. A total of 110 samples were collected at an average density of 1 sample per 1.2 km2 and analysed for Cu, Pb, Zn, Mo and U.
The data are published in preliminary report RP-561, Department of Natural Resources, Quebec, 1967. This survey is part of a compilation DV 87-22, published in 1987.

The geographic extent of the survey is defined by the following polygons:
Covers NTS 32E/3 (west) (Villebois). The south half of Perron township is in Abitibi-Ouest county. Its western limit forms part of the Quebec-Ontario boundary and its center is 60 miles north-northwest of the cities of Rouyn and Noranda.
