Survey Description

During the summer of 1968, a stream sediment sampling survey was conducted in the Lac Rouvray area, Quebec.  The area covers 1000 km2.  A total of 24 samples were collected at an average density of 1 sample per 41.6 km2 and analysed for Cu, Ag, Au, Co, Mn, Mo, Ni, Pb, Zn, Sn, U and W.

The data are published in preliminary report RP-579, Department of Natural Resources, Quebec, 1970.

The geographic extent of the survey is defined by the following polygons:

  • Covers NTS 22E/7 (Lac Rouvray).  The Lac Rouvray area is bounded by latitudes 49o30' and 49o15' and by longitudes 70o30' and 71o.  It comprises Crown lands and also the wood limits of Price Brothers Company Ltd.  In Chicoutimi county.
