Survey Description


In August 1991, 1053 lakes and ponds were sampled in an 875 km 2 area in the vicinity of Cow River, northern Ontario.  The following samples were collected:

The geographic extent of the survey is defined by the following polygons:

  • Covers most of 41O/05 (Bulley Lake) and a small part of the northern part of 41O/04 (Welcome Lake) in the Cow River area, northern Ontario.  The centre of the study area is located approximately 67 km east of Lake Superior and 40 km west of Highway 129.
