Description du levé


Un levé de reconnaissance géochimique a été effectué dans le sud-ouest du Nouveau-Brunswick au cours d’été 1970.  Environ 1269 échantillons de sédiments ont été recueillis dans des canaux actifs de ruisseau, des ruisselets et des sources. Un espacement uniforme entre les échantillons ne peut être maintenu en raison de la répartition irrégulière des ruisseaux.

En outre l’échantillonnage régional, un échantillonnage détaillé des sédiments fluviatiles et du sol a été exécuté près des gîtes d’antimoine de Lake George. Le but d’échantillonnage était de recueillir de l’information pour aider à la recherche pour le métal ailleurs.

L'étendue géographique du levé est définie par les polygones suivants:

  • Couvre des parties de NTS 21G/10 (Fredericton Junction), /11 (McAdam), /13 (Fosterville), /14 (Canterbury), et /15 (Fredericton) dans la partie sud-ouest du Nouveau-Brunswick.  Il est délimité au nord par la rivière Saint-John.  La ville de McAdam se trouve dans la partie sud-ouest de la zone d’étude.
