Survey Description


Humus and B-horizon samples were collected at 297 sites in the Cape Spencer – Black River area, southern New Brunswick.  The data are published in New Brunswick Department of Natural Resources Map Plates 85-23 a to e.  No sampling year was given.

Data Description:

Paper maps.

Quantities Analysed:

<0.177 mm fraction of B-horizon for Cu, Pb, Zn, Ag by AAS; for Au by INAA-gamma ray spectroscopy; for As by colourimetry.

Geochem Maps Available:

Element values at each sample site are plotted on the map.

  • Covers part of NTS 21H/4 (Cape Spencer), the Cape Spencer – Black River area, southern New Brunswick.  It is bounded to the southeast and southwest by the Bay of Fundy.
