Survey Description


291 till samples collected in the Riley Brook area, northwestern New Brunswick in 1989.  Data published in New Brunswick Department of Natural Resources and Energy Geological Notes Series PM 89-71.

Paper report and data diskette.

Quantities Analysed:

<0.063 mm fraction: Au by FA-INAA; Ag, As by AAS after HNO3 aqua regia digestion; Hg by flameless AAS after HNO3-HCl digestion; Sb by AAS after HCl-KClO3 digestion; by AAS after HNO3 digestion for 7 elements; Mo, W by colorimetric methods.

The geographic extent of the survey is defined by the following polygons:

  • Covers NTS 21O/3, the Riley Brook map area, northwest New Brunswick.  The towns of Nictau and Oxbow lie in the northern and southern parts of the study area, respectively.
