Survey Description
In 1993, 229 till samples were collected at 171 sites in the Fawnie Creek area of central British Columbia. The samples were collected at approximately 1 sample per 4 km 2. Higher density sampling was conducted in areas of perceived higher mineralization and around known mineral prospects. The data are published in British Columbia Geological Survey Open File 1994-18.

Quantities Analysed:
<0.063 mm fraction by INAA for 35 elements; by ICP-ES after aqua regia for 30 elements; by ICP-ES for whole rock analysis.

The geographic extent of the survey is defined by the following polygons:

Covers NTS 93F/3, the Fawnie Creek map area, central British Columbia. It lies within the southern Nechako Plateau in the west-central part of the Interior Plateau. Cow Lake, Johnny Lake and Moose Lake lie in the west-central part of the study area. It is located approximately 188 km southwest of the city of Prince George.
