Soil sampling survey, NTS 63K/16, Snow Lake area, west-central Manitoba.
(requires an Internet connection)
A total of 55 B-horizon soil samples (~2 kg) were collected from two transects over the Thorne gold zone, in the Snow Lake area, west-central Manitoba. Samples were collected at 25 foot intervals. No sampling year was given.
In addition, 43 B-horizon soil samples were collected from a baseline at 50 and 100 foot intervals from a depth of between 10 and 20 cm to serve as an exploration sample suite.
Samples were analyzed by ICP-MS following two selective digestions: Enzyme LeachSM and Mobile Metal Ions (MMI®).
The data are published in Manitoba, Industry, Trade and Mines Exploration Report EX2003-1.

The geographic extent of the survey is defined by the following polygons:
Covers a very small part of NTS 63K/16 (File Lake) in the Snow Lake area, west-central Manitoba. It is located between Squall Lake and Herblet Lake and is bounded to the north and northwest by Cleaver Lake and to the southeast by Stayback Lake. The town of Snow Lake is located approximately 5 km southeast of the centre of the study area.
