In 1993, 197 till samples and 156 humus samples were collected from 157 hand dug pits in the Naosap Lake area, western Manitoba.

The geographic extent of the survey is defined by the following polygons:
Covers the northwestern half of NTS 64K/14 (Naosap Lake) in western Manitoba. Its western edge is located approximately 25 km east of the Saskatchewan-Manitoba border and its northern extent is bounded by latitude 55°N.
