Survey Description

In 1986, samples of till (24) and marine sand (7) were collected in the Seal River area, approximately 5 km east of the eastern end of Great Island, northern Manitoba.  Samples were collected from hand dug holes and the marine sand was collected where till could not be reached.

The samples were processed for heavy minerals, including gold.  The data are published in Manitoba Energy and Mines, Open File OF87-1.

The data are also part of three compilations in Manitoba Agriculture and Resource Development open files OF2020-2, OF2020-5 and OF2020-6.
