CanTech AAS (strong acid digestion)



Atomic absorption spectroscopy (AAS) analysis of 9 trace elements (Ag, Cd, Co, Cu, Fe, Mn, Ni, Pb, Zn) was performed, following total decomposition of a 1 g sample by a fuming HF-HClO4-HNO3 mixture.  The analyses were performed by CANTECH Laboratories in Calgary, Alberta.

Distinguishing characteristics:

  • Ag detection limit: 0.2 ppm
  • Cd detection limit: 0.2 ppm
