General Methodology:

Determined by direct aspiration using a Perkin Elmer 5000 atomic absorption spectrophotometer.  An air-acetylene flame was used.

A 2000 ppm lanthanum solution was used as a releasing agent for Ca analysis.

A 2000 ppm potassium solution was used as an ionization buffer for Na analysis.

A 2000 ppm sodium solution was used as an ionization buffer for K analysis.
