OGS Geoscience Laboratories: Inductively coupled plasma – mass spectrometry.  The sample is prepared using a closed vessel multi-acid digestion.

Upper and lower detection limits reported by OGS (GEO LABS Schedule of Fees and Services Issue 5: effective April 1st, 2009) are very precise and very low.  In some cases, the lower detection limit precision is reported to ± 0.0001 ppm.  In these cases, the lower detection limit has been rounded up:
