Carleton University electron microprobe.  Grains are analysed to distinguish between Group I and Group II garnets.  Count times are increased to 100 seconds for Na2O.

General Methodology:

Carleton University Electron Microprobe. Analysis. Samples are re-analysed using 100 second count time for Na to discriminate between Group I and Group II eclogitic garnets following the criteria of McCandless and Gurney, (1989). New Na analyses are reported in Appendix C3 of GSC Open File 5050.
