I and M Morrison IM grain counts-Samples are counted for 5 major indicator minerals (Cr-pyrope, Cr Ti pyrope, Mg-Ilmenite, chrome diopside, chromite and olivine). The 0.25-0.5 mm, 0.5-1.0 mm and 1-2 mm fractions are processed.

General Methodology:

I and M Morrison indicator mineral counts. Samples are picked for 5 major indicator minerals (Cr-pyrope, Cr-Ti-pyrope, Cr-diopsde, Mg-Ilmenite, chromite and olivine). Grains are examined for their color, morphology and presence of adhering kimberlite material under stereoscopic and petrographic microscopes. The 0.25-0.5 mm, 0.5-1.0 mm and 1-2 mm fractions are counted.
