ODM VG count



Visible gold count.  The gold grains are classified by their angularity.

General Methodology:

Overburden Drilling Management visible gold (VG) counts. Gold grains are concentrated with respect to density using a shaking table. Visible gold grains are recovered by panning, counted and classified on the basis of angularity (DiLabio, 1990).

Sulphide grains may also be recovered.

If large numbers of grains are recovered, the sample may be panned a second time.
