GSC  ICP-AES (110 trace elements)



Inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry (ICP-AES) analysis of 110 trace elements was performed on the till samples. The analyses were performed by the Geological Survey of Canada Analytical Chemistry Laboratory in Ottawa, Ontario.

General Methodology:

Method ICPES-110 Determinations are based on the total dissolution of the sample using nitric, perchloric and hydrofluoric acids followed by a lithium metaborate fusion of any residual material.  A total of 1.0 grams of sample is required for analysis.

Instrumentation: Perkin Elmer OPTIMA 3000 Emission Spectrometer
