ActLabs AR-AAS (Ag, Cd)



Aqua-regia atomic absorption spectroscopy (AR-AAS) analysis of Ag and Cd was performed on the till fractions.  The analyses were performed by Actlabs Ltd., in Ancaster, Ontario.

General Methodology:

0.5 grams/sample are digested with 7 ml 1:1 HF-H2O at 200oC for 1 hour.  6 ml 2:1 HClO4-HNO3 are added.  The solution is heated at 200oC until fuming.  3 ml aqua regia are added, and the solution heated at 200oC for 30 minutes.  The solution is diluted to 10 ml with H2O.  Run on ICP. (?)
