General Methodology:

Depending on sample density, 3 to 7 g of the sample were capped in 7 ml plastic containers.  Samples were irradiated at McMaster University's 3 monitor reactor.  A batch irradiation consisted of 21 samples and a standard (GTS-1).  The delay between irradiation and counting was 5 to 8 days.  A single 1 hour count (3 600 s) was performed on each sample.  The distance between the sample and the detector was 2 cm.  The proposed "detection limit" was calculated at the 2σ level.  Measurement error for concentrations greater than 10 times the detection limit is: ± detection limit + 5% of the measured value.  Below this concentration, measurement error increases.
