CASC Fortran IV Interactive Computer Program for Correlation and Scaling in Time of Biostratigraphic Events; F.P. Agterberg, J. Oliver, S.N. Lew, F.M. Gradstein, M.A. Williamson

The CASC interactive computer program was developed for precise, semi-automated, semi-objective correlation of rock sections for which an optimum sequence or a scaled optimum sequence of biostratigraphic events has been determined using the zonation method and computer program RASC (for RAnking and SCaling of biostratigraphic events). This Open File consists of a text (140 p.) and two diskettes. The CASC source code and input generation files include a FORTRAN IV version of RASC are contained in two 5¼ inch double sided, double density IBM-PC formatted diskettes.

Copies of the text of this Open File are available for viewing at all Geological Survey libraries. A limited number of copies of the text with the diskettes (total cost $20.00) is available from the Geological Suvey of Canada (forward a cheque or money order in Canadian funds only payable to the Receiver General for Canada to the Geological Survey).
