Airborne Radioactivity Maps and Profiles

Ground and airborne gamma-ray spectrometry, stream sediment and soil geochemistry investigations of Paleozoic uranium-copper mineralization in the Ottawa-Arnprior area, Ontario (NTS 31 F/8, E/½; 31 G/5, W/½) by B.W. Charbonneau, I.R. Jonasson, P.B. Holman and K.L. Ford. The file consists of:

Seven contour maps (scale 1:250 000) showing total count, uranium, potassium and thorium and U/Th, U/K and Th/K ratios determined by airborne gamma-ray spectrometry.

Profiles of airborne spectrometry data at a scale of 1: 250 000.

A geochemical uranium map (1:50 000) derived from stream sediment analysis.

A geological compilation map showing locations of known mineralization (1: 50 000).

Contour maps of ground gamma-ray spectrometric data (total count K, U, Th, U/Th, Th/K) and geochemical data (U, Cu, Mo, Zn) at a scale of 1 inch to 800 feet covering an exposure of U-Cu mineralization west of South March, Ontario.

This file will be available for inspection in Ottawa from 1:00 p.m. D.S.T. on May 20, 1975 (and equivalent local times at other G.S.C. libraries), and also Mines Library, Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources, Parliament Buildings, Toronto.
