Project Description

NGR lake sediment and water surveys were carried out in the Thunder Bay region (north shore of Lake Superior), in Ontario in 1977.  The total survey area was 27 700 km 2.  The data were published in GSC Open Files 506 (sheets 42D, E) and 507 (sheets 52A, H).

Project Funding

Canada - Ontario Agreement on a Uranium Reconnaissance Program.

Fisheries and Environment Canada provided funds for the determination of mercury.
