The regional stream survey for southern Yukon (NTS 105B) was conducted during the summer of 1978.

Open File 1289 presents analytical and statistical data for 8 elements plus loss-on-ignition obtained by re-analyzing stream sediments from 959 sites, collected at an average density of one sample per 12.8 km². Original analytical data selected from Open File 563.2 (published 1980) for 12 elements and uranium, fluoride, and pH values in concomitant waters are also included in this report.

Other information:

Open File 563.2, released in 1980, included analytical values for uranium in stream waters not in the original release of 563.1 (1979).

Gold usually determined on 10-gram sample, allowing a detection limit of 1 ppb; sample weights less than 10 grams resulted in a detection limit of 2 ppb. Sample weights less that 5 grams not analyzed.
