Brilliant Green, C27H34N2O4S, reacts with the chloro-anions of antimonyV, arsenicV, goldIII, thalliiumIII and tinII to form blue complexes.  The complex is extracted with toluene and the blue colour obtained is compared to a series of standards similarly prepared.
