Bundle Description

43 till samples from Napatulik Lake (NTS 86I), were processed by Canamera Geological Services, North Vancouver, BC. Samples were screened into grain size fractions (0.25-0.5 mm and 0.5-1 mm) and separated magnetically with a Permaroll separator and for heavy mineral fractions with a Magstream separator. The 43 samples were then sent to Diamond Indicator Processing of Thunder Bay, Ontario where samples were separated for magnetite and mica. Samples were collected in 1994 and processed in 1995. (These are put together under one process/package as the information from each lab is combined in the appendix).

Canamera Geological Ltd. Permaroll and Magstream separation of samples for paramagnetic/non-magnetic and light and heavy mineral fractions. Further processing of samples by Diamond Indicator Processing (Thunder Bay, Ontario) using a magnetic separator for magnetite removal and methylene iodide for mica removal using dilute methylene iodide (specific gravity 3.2) (0.25-0.5mm and 0.5-0.1 mm fractions).
