Bundle Description

Geochemical results of till samples (1999) surveyed in the Hillsborough, Salisbury and Chipman regions of the Fundy Model Forest area of New Brunswick are presented.  These areas of New Brunswick correspond to NTS map sheet 21H/15, 21I/3 and 21I/4 respectively.

The basal till (< 63 micron) samples were analysed for 35 trace elements using enhanced instrumental neutron activation analysis (INAA) and for 19 trace elements using inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry (ICP-AES).  Mercury analysis was performed by inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry (Hg ICP-AES) using cold vapour Flow Injection Mercury System (FIMS).  The analyses were performed by Activation (Actlabs) Labs Ltd., Ancaster, Ontario.

Till samples were dry sieved using an 8 inch sieve shaker. The <63 µm fraction was analysed for 35 trace elements using enhanced instrumental neutron activation analysis (INAA) and for19 trace elements using inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry (ICP-AES) following a 4-acid digestion. Mercury analysis was done by inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry (Hg ICP-AES) using cold vapour flow injection mercury System (FIMS). The analyses were performed by ActLabs Ltd. in Ancaster, Ontario
