Bundle Description

Geochemical results of till samples surveyed in the Forest City and Fosterville regions of New Brunswick are presented.  These areas of New Brunswick correspond to NTS map sheet 21G/12 and 21G/13 respectively.

The till fractions (< 63 micron) were analysed for Zr using instrumental neutron activation analysis (INAA).  Hg was analysed using cold vapour atomic absorption spectrometry ( Hg-CVAAS).  Analysis of Ag, Bi and Cd was performed by atomic absorption spectrometry (AAS).  The analyses were performed by Bondar Clegg and Company Ltd. in Vancouver, British Columbia.

The geochemical results of this survey were reported by Al Seaman, NBDNRE.

The data are published in New Brunswick Department of Natural Resources and Energy Open File Reports 92-6 and 93-7.  Follow-up work for the Forest City and Fosterville areas can be found in Open File Reports 93-8 and 94-8 respectively.  A compilation of all the data can be found in New Brunswick Department of Natural Resources and Energy Open File Report 99-7.

Till samples were dry sieved using an 8 inch sieve shaker.  The <63 µm fraction was analysed for Zr using instrumental neutron activation analysis (INAA).  Mercury analysis was performed by cold vapour atomic absorption spectrometry (Hg-CVAAS).  The samples were analysed for Ag, Bi and Cd using atomic absorption spectroscopy (AAS).  The analyses were performed by Bondar Clegg and Company Ltd. in Vancouver, British Columbia.
