Bundle Description

Geochemical results of till samples surveyed in the Alma, Hillsborough, Waterford and Petitcodiac regions of New Brunswick are presented.  These areas of New Brunswick correspond to NTS map sheet 21H/10, 21H/15, 21H/11 and 21H/14 respectively.

The basal till fractions (< 63 micron) were analysed for 8 trace elements using atomic absorption spectrometry (AAS).  The samples were analysed for Sb and V using colorimetry.  The analyses were performed by New Brunswick DNRE Geochemical Laboratory.

The analytical data were obtained from Al Seaman in 2005 (in an MS Excel spreadsheet).

The geochemical results of this survey were reported in a Master's thesis by Marc Foisy, University of Quebec, Montreal.

The data are published in New Brunswick Department of Natural Resources and Energy Open File Report 89-51 and Plates 90-34A, 90-34B.

Till samples were dry sieved using an 8 inch sieve shaker.  The <63 µm fraction was analysed for 8 trace elements using atomic absorption spectroscopy (AAS).  Colorimetry analysis was performed on the samples for Sb and V.  The analyses were performed by New Brunswick DNRE Geochemical Laboratory.
