Bundle Description

Geochemical results of till samples surveyed in the Upsalquitch Forks-Tetagouche Lakes region of New Brunswick are presented. This area of New Brunswick corresponds to NTS map sheet 21 O/9 and 21 O/10.

The combined silt and clay fractions (< 63 micron) were analysed for 28 trace elements using instrumental neutron activation analysis (INAA).Mercury analysis was performed by cold vapour atomic absorption spectrometry (Hg-CVAAS). The analyses were performed by X-Ray Assay Laboratories (XRAL) in Toronto, Ontario.

The analytical data were obtained from Mike Parkhill in 2005 (in an MS Excel spreadsheet).

The geochemical results of this survey were reported by A.G. Pronk and D.M. Burton, Geological Survey of Canada.

The data were published in New Brunswick Department of Natural Resources and Energy (NBDNRE) (Canada) Open File 932.

Till samples were dry sieved using an 8 inch sieve shaker. The <63 µm (silt and clay) fraction was analysed for 28 trace elements using instrumental neutron activation analysis (INAA).  Mercury analysis was performed by cold vapour atomic absorption spectrometry (Hg-CVAAS).  The analyses were performed by X-Ray Assay Laboratories (XRAL) in Toronto, Ontario.
